Our Ministries

Music

Helping Hands

Helping Hands began as an after school program around 2003.  Pastor Stan Jacobson began the after school program.  Over the years, Jan Hunter continued the program and in 2013, Shelley Culver and Nancy Workman began working with Jan on servant projects, Bible stories and memory verses with kids from 1st grade to Jr. High.  We meet every Wednesday after school and enjoy snacks, music, moments of gratitude and then off to our lesson and project for the week.

Prayer Ministry

Women of Immanuel

WOI is our chapter of Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. We serve the Foothills community, meeting the needs of our church, local families, local charities, and those in need in third world countries through Lutheran World Relief. Hosting receptions, teas, picnics, retreats, and our annual Strawberry Social—a tradition since 1942—all help to fund our group’s work.

Quilting

The quilters meet every Thursday except for summer, and have been been doing so for over 50 years. Annually, nearly 200 quilts are given to Lutheran World Relief to be distributed to people in need all over the world.

Our gift for the Ukrainian Evangelical Church that shares our space.
